APKWS should be pronounced like "Apkwiss."
Almost sounds like "kiss." Kiss of Death.
Nobody says H-M-M-W-V, do they? No, they say Humvee, which flows much better. As they should.
But people are going to keep calling it "A-P-K-W-S" all clumsily.
