I think Lordly Lode is the only card that says "also, you cannot X this turn".
Cards that lock you for the entire turn usually don't use "also" and instead have a separate line for it.
Using "also" means it's part of the effect and not a condition like Branded Fusion which means you can still use special summon effects if that Lode effect is negated.
It's kinda weird and it definitely should've said "for the rest of this turn" to clarify.
