You should be making backups but moving your MO VFS modfolder stuff and getting its configs are pretty straightforward plug(in) and play, very easy to manually back up at that
I did the same thing recently because of a drive I knew was failing and I only had to replace two mods out of 2k because of drive related file problems, MO and the save werked
