so..... knowing that humans would resist suggestions, he developed a technique of ALLOWING PEOPLE TO RESIST...

..... EXPECTING them to resist
...... FACILITATING the resistance...
........ Then pausing for a second

And coming back in for the kill

And it worked perfectly...
It turns out although humans talk the talk about " nobody tells me what to do", and " i don't take orders from anybody"... that's actually not exactly true

It turns out humans seem to prefer being told where to stand and what to do

At least the majority of humans...
Some people are unreachable
But generally speaking
The majority of humans actually live their entire lives MIMICKING BEHAVIORS
Following rules...
Taking their place in line...
It feels safer that way

so......
Now i'm going to tell you exactly how psychiatrist actually incorporate modern day hypnotism into therapy occasionally...

But first:
I told you there were two different guys who developed the idea of hypnotism, and I said there were TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF HYPNOTISM...

But.
It has nothing to do with those two guys...

These days, there are officially TWO versions of hypnotism, and a lot of people think they understand it, but.
They really don't... so just in case you're not exactly sure,

STAGE HYPNOTISM...... which is absolutely 100% unequivocally FAKE every single time... every time you've seen people on stage being hypnotized and barking like a dog or dancing like a chicken... that's completely fake.. even though only half of those people are planted in the audience... The other half of them are literally just your average person out of the audience...

But the reason they bark like dogs and cluck like a chicken on stage is because...
THEY FEEL THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO IT

THEY FEEL COMPELLED TO DO IT

Remember, I told you.Humans had the tendency to be very predictable in our behavior, and we are more comfortable 'fitting in' and we try to avoid being the outcast weirdo
