Welp, it's not the solenoid module. Time to take it to the local shop and see what the estimate is for a rebuild. The most I could get for it if I sold it, even without the shift issue, is about $1500, so it's not worth selling imo. I'd rather spend the money on getting it right than have an extra $1500 and no car.
