Wrong. Covers and color pages are extra material, not the actual content which looks like pic related. An urban hellscape with a bleak atmosphere.
Nothing about this scream vibrant and colorful, with the exception of Quanxi but the contrast is the whole point.
This "CSM is POPPY and VIBRANT like Dandadan" narrative is probably the biggest misinformation campaign I've seen surrounding CSM. It's crazy that the anime staff understood it better than the vast majority of the fanbase, who claims to know better, and kept the charm of the extra material in the extra material of the anime, namely OP and ED.
