Saint Michael the Archangel defeating Satan (often identified with a serpent) is one of the most famous images from the Book of Revelation, which Deltarune is clearly taking strong influence from. Since Toby seems to be inverting the original narrative (e.g. Gaster using the number of the Beast but apparently being good, while the Angel appears to be an antagonistic force) this might lead to a scene near the end of the game where Jockington is the one to finally banish the Angel.
