Very recently in Sakamoto Days, a character had a sword go directly through his neck.
It would've normally cut his head off (as it would anyone), but it instead went completely through his neck not touching any of the particles, so he's alive.
The Tunnel Effect is a real theory, basically saying that theoretically a physical object can go through another if none of it's particles touch.
So basically the Author asspulled this dude from dying, and every fanbase started saying how their characters should've used the Tunnel Effect (like Gojo shouldve used it against Sukuna)
