I make $32k in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere and have severe arthritis, unfortunately I have to rent and I have no prospects of finding better work. Can barely wake up in the mornings to even do basic maintenance around the house or see a doctor when I need to, I go to bed but can't sleep due to the pain. Can't do physical therapy due to the pain either, doctors barely give out anything for pain these days including clinics and urgent care places, it sucks slogging every day but I keep living out of pure spite. I don't gamble, have no subscriptions, no TV and I've never been to jail for a damn thing, just trusted the wrong people and made a couple bad decisions early in life. All my family is gone except my father who is barely coherent himself, I look after him as best I can but he probably won't last another year or two. Alive but not really living? Existing.
