More and more recently I've been coming around to the concept of "usable history" and the understanding it's not always done in bad faith or for nefarious reasons, and really all history is "usable" history as there's always a historical evidence we see as "relevant" and see as "irrelevant". All this to say if people think my politics are bad here, that's fine, it's simply not useful to them, as your politics are downstream from your ideology and worldview, and thus what you deem relevant or useful.
Truth be told I don't know where I fall politically anymore, I'm more concerned with individual candidates for individual positions at my local level, and both parties are basically Gog and Magog on a national level.
