I played the demo a bit, and I really enjoyed it.
The core of the game it's good, it's basically Homeword -because the team worked on a mod for the original and worked also on the remaster- in many aspects. ship types are pretty much the same with armament customization, ie. your fighters can have cannons or missile or lasers, which one specialized against slow tanky or quick targets.
Resource collection it's also very similar, you have you basic resource plus energy for mothership modules and crew capacity that is basically an analogue of aoe2 pop. Lot of researches.
