Providence itself is perfectly fine, but they never built it up in the story to give it the same gravitas that the Elder had. So despite it being one of the single most devastating war machines in existence and the prime example of the Mother Sphere's outlook in stark contrast to Eve & Adam, the player will inevitably just see it as a random mech because that's how the story treated it.
