Our love to them was almost assured. But what was it about me that had her intrigued. Had her take me in and spend time with me. What did I do to deserve her taking my hand in hers, to have a place by her side, to warm her bed. Did she even love me? Could a being like that truly love a mortal like me?"
>The VIIth's hand was shaking, ever so slightly, just for a second. And then he hardened once more. He gave a final nod. A small gesture of farewell, and good luck before turning and marching to join his men to meet their end.
