I think it’s good to watch as additional content, but not to be the first or only version for someone. The seiyuus really developed the characters to become what they are as much as the script did, and I think they really are irreplaceable. I did find it funny they localized Ichi as a furry, and it does truly make me genuinely sad that Oso’s VA passed shortly after its release, and makes me enjoy it a little more for his sake. It has its merits for sure.
