I am super excited for this game, but my autism betrays me.

In Yoshi's Island DS, Mario and DK are both babies, and then in Donkey Kong, Mario and Pauline are the same age, but that DK is Cranky Kong, right? And the DK we know is actually Cranky's grandson.

So then how can Pauline be like a 8 year old while DK is full grown if he was also a baby around the same time Mario was?
