There were previous anti-Arab decolonial movements. Sudan to this day sees Arab's opporessing people identified as native. However, in the past natives sought to remove both Arab and English colonalists. An example of this is the Mahdist revolution. A Sudanse, Muhammad Ahmad ibn Abd Allah, claimed to be the Mahdi and to reveal a new type of Islam and called to purify Sudan of Arabic and English colonial governments.
