We stopped heavily referencing it in our marketing because we feel we went our own way early on, "Insprired Looking Glass and Ion Storm titles" is a safer statement than "literally polish deus ex". Still, nothing beats that classic frob highlight. And we want modders to be able to import DX levels into it.

Unlike boomer shooters, imsims are fucking hard to make and require a very dedicated kind of autism, so you don't see many of them. There are other indies trying to tackle the genre, I try to stay in touch and support all of em, but it does feel like some go radio silent at a point.
