If Capcom had any plans to put actual full underwater combat in any game again going forward then they wouldn't have blown their load by adding Lagiacrus to Wilds at all, they would've saved it for then. If anything its inclusion here with the half-assed cinematic segment has basically confirmed that true underwater is never returning.
