I think that's part of the greater move toward despotic technocracy that's been going on since COVID. Censorship, deplatforming, debanking, and now erasure of citizenship are all on the table right now.

But it starts with antisemitism getting you stripped of your citizenship. Pretty soon, they'll strip you of your citizenship for asking too namy questions about vaccines or for being against the next forever war
