I am, once again, recommending RoA2. Only platform fighter in years that feels good to play. Ultimately, Sakurai just seems too stubborn for anything good to happen to the series' direction. I've entirely given up hope of Smash being fun to play as anything except a party game again. Even as an offline party game, I can still feel the input delay.
