The title says it all really. This one came out of nowhere, at 108 chapters complete it’s more a novel than a fic.

Nevertheless is an astonishingly well written no powers AU fic that covers the hospital ending / beginning.

The author NeverPostFF really captured Max and Chloe voices well and handles both of their trauma’s realistically while also showing great empathy towards those who actually suffer from it in real life. They also made really effective use of the wider cast to tell a complete story while keeping a tight focus on the main duo.
