Shit, I remember some Anon doing that years ago. It was really funny after seeing Willis' criticism actually reading Funky Winkerbean and finding out it was actually everything DoA wishes it was: A melodramatic soap opera where you actually find yourself giving a shit what happens to the characters, because they're not all irredeemable cunts.
Digging deep into my filesystem, it appears I still have the cbrs from 1996-2013 (why those years specifically I don't know) if they'd be any help and save you any time. I don't recall Funky getting particularly interesting until after the timeskip (google informs me that was 1992).
