Tanks don't get "skill based defensives" until active mitigation anon.
The "skill based" game they talk about is 90% gear and 10% press your damage abilities to hold aggro, tanks will get one tapped in leveling dungeons without any real counter play on their part, putting all the pressure on healers that can't feasibly have good "leveling heal gear" and basically make the game entirely level to max, rolfstomp BRD and gear with some craftables.
You also don't get to put skill barriers in a game with <3k people.
TL;DR: Epoch is beyond DoA and won't even breach 200 online.
