Before I go any further into this, I’m curious how much it would cost to get a license on shortwave? Like my idea is to just do like a talk radio type thing where people just listen if they want. And preferably I want to cover a large distance.
Would I need a license? How much are we talking? How hard is it to do something like this, and what’s the bare bones equipment needed?

Is it possible to broadcast AM radio from my bedroom without a boatload of cash?
Is HAM the closest I’m gonna get for cheap?
I read somewhere about CB radios being approved to broadcast FM in 2021 or something like that, but I’m not sure how this stuff works. Just started researching.
