I see a lot of Americans project their insecurities onto him, and I dont think its too outta the realm of possibility. We are the primary superpower and yet we're practically a 3rd world country. We're behind on education, science and tech compared to Canada and the EU. Our medical field is tanking. We used to be at the top in everything. That has gotta be a huge ego blow to his superiority complex. I think even Hima knows given how toned-down America is in modern strips.
