When something deserves to be praised, I praise it.
This is the only movie from marvel that EVER captured the innocence and wholesome nature of the 1960s comic era.
The production design is stellar. It actually looks completely different from all the other marvel slop.
The film is mostly about the importance of family and teamwork, things you'd think were outdated in our shitty narcissistic age.
There is basically 0 politics or shitty humor to deflate tension which is what I've hated about Marvel slop forever.
I'll say the quiet part out loud. Gunns Superman movie felt more like a continuation of Marvel slop while F4 felt like a course correction. I was hoping we'd get something more akin to Donners Superman from Gunn but his Reddit mental illness is clearly terminal.
>Convoluted Multiverse-tier plot
>Too many characters
>Action is poorly directed jank
>Reddit Whedon quipping
etc
F4 actually had
>Appropriate situational humor
>Action that was well thought-out and choreographed
>Tasteful cosmic scenes (unlike Superslop)
>Dramatic stakes that felt real for the film (Galactus is coming to destroy our planet), not 4 different threats like Superman)
>Interesting, unique production design (unlike Gunns superman, especially the pocket universe)
F4 actually felt fresh and everyone is dismissing it as "boring" because they're ADHD slop addicts yet pretend to criticize grimdark quipfests while not praising something for doing something different just because it's Marvel.
If you like Superman more than F4, you like reddit capeshit slop full-stop and you want more of it, not less.
Objective fact.
