>Which is retarded mental gymnastics because Saiyans would have done it with or without Freeza.
And that's exactly what saiyans did once Freeza was killed off, so that guy taking Bardock's side at all was pure trash.
It would be less bad if that guy still cursed Bardock, but Bardock found ways to use visions to his benefit, while main Bardock couldn't. The logic of Freeza's defeat would still be iffy though...
Also reminds me King Vegeta wasn't even the strongest saiyan, there were others stronger than him and the characters knew, but King Vegeta was kept as the king because he was competent. I don't even know why he made that change since it makes saiyans slightly less barbaric, and way more baffling they still have a "You can become the new king if you beat the previous one in combat" law.
>Which was retarded since Freeza literally one shotted them all at once so if they were a threat together, they'd have just fired back at his death ball and overpowered it together but it's just not how this works in DB.
Back in saiyan saga, Vegeta told Nappa to kill Gohan and Krillin since them teaming up with Goku could make things difficult, even though both Gohan and Krillin were weak. Strength in numbers was suggested a bunch of times in DB, just never actually shown.
An entire planet of saiyans attacking Freeza follows the same logic, but, since such logic isn't shown, it's hard to believe it...
>It being retconned into Dodoria being retarded / feeding Vegeta bullshit was for the best.
Checking out the manga, Dodoria does say that stronger saiyans were being born, so the logic wasn't as bad as I remembered.
As for the retcon, the previous detail was just ignored, Vegeta just suddenly started to claim it was the super saiyan that Freeza feared all along.
