What exactly is southern culture?

Cuisine and traditional dress aside - southern US culture seems to be all about anti-intellectualism and destroying your body in service of the state.
>don't go to university because comfortable, well-paying jobs are for sissies

>but don't expect this state to provide infrastructure because that's entitled
>get married and have kids even if you don't want to because the state needs subjects
