Yeah, some people got uppity at some of the dev's changes and because he got sick so he hasn't been active recently. It got bad enough that he considered locking down the server.
Some of the criticism is fair, but that doesn't excuse their behavior. Spergs were actively sitting in the discord acting as antis actively telling people to abandon the server and getting into slapfights with the jannies. This is for a server so raw that you can't make an account without dev assistance yet, because there isn't a website for it.
That said, the server's main issues are clear alpha/beta shit so idk what they were expecting. The account thing alone made it seem like it would be more of a testing environment than anything else.
I'm having fun playing it, but I think most anons wouldn't enjoy it atm unless they're okay with submitting bug reports and treating it as a sidegame. The discussions earlier in the thread (several months ago wew lad /vm/ truly is a dead board) more or less cover it; both servers need more time in the oven, the main difference is Seeds hasn't touched everything yet while Laima outright blocks the untouched stuff.
