I always want to have a real discussion of this part because it bothers me.
This did not happen. We never actually got a full resolution to Sonic and Sally's character arcs.
This married couple is not Sonic and Sally.
I don't mean that in the windfag "Sonic doesn't act like this" I mean these two are literally unrelated characters from an alternate universe who's lives we never, EVER get to see.

It's the same tier as Lord Eggman from Boom. No sane person would look at this and say "hey Eggman finally took over the world." Because it's a spinoff of a spinoff.
These panels get posted out of context because they successfully make sonamyfaggots seethe. But what most people who didn't read the comic don't know is that these are alternate universe variants who get maybe 10 issues of development?

And what do we learn about them? That they're absolutely nothing like the ones we already know. Shadow is evil. Sally is chaste. Sonic is extremely serious. Tails doesn't talk to Sonic? WHAT IS THIS WORLD? It would be nice to KNOW.

And then Ian, instead of exploring it more, had to stab it in the foot by killing off Knuckles's father and retconning this entire setting.
Don't even get me started on the super genesis wave because I will actually start seething.
