when i was about 13-14, i went to chicago with my grandmother to celebrate her brother's birthday. they were both creative and attentive chefs, and they made leg of lamb. i only got a very little bit, and the flavor of it, i don't know what they put on it still, but it was something like champagne or a really amazing wine, i really can't remember anything other than the fact that the flavor was unlike anything i had tasted, and it's still the case.

otherwise, for something more appreciable, i'd say my grandmother's cheese souffle.
