The "everyone is free to hang with whomever" thing makes the most sense for a 4chan group but it has resulted in the community fracturing to multiple subgroups vaguely related to 4chan or not related at all at this point. Especially on the weekends. And because every group lets in their own kind of randos or people, it leads to much less intermingling of actual anons.
Its funny because we can have groups for events or for exploration because theyre explicitly 4chan events but for some reason when it comes to normal instances, the ones we spend the most time in, we have to pick and choose which sub-group(which are more discord communities than anything) are closest aligned with our values. Which I think, is kind of ass. A group could fix it
