Don't use those "manual" overclocking apps, they're useless these days. Use the Nvidia or AMD app that came with your drivers. You tell it what you want and it automatically handles the rest. You lose precision but it'll handle it dynamically. Or turn on Automatic Tuning, wait about half an hour, and let AI™ find the best settings for your card.
