>At the time of crisis for Intel and uncertainty with foundry goals, Intel has appointed a semiconductor veteran as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO)β€”Lip-Bu Tan. In a letter to Intel employees, Lip-Bu Tan has quietly addressed Intel Foundry spinoff rumors, saying that his commitment as a CEO is to "restore Intel's position as a world-class products company, establish ourselves as a world-class foundry and delight our customers like never before." Hence, the foundry spinoff rumors are now not so certain.

https://www.oregonlive.com/silicon-forest/2025/06/intel-will-lay-off-15-to-20-of-its-factory-workers-memo-says.html
>Intel plans to lay off up to a fifth of its factory workers, an enormous cutback that will have a profound effect on one of the chipmaker’s core businesses. β€œThese are difficult actions but essential to meet our affordability challenges and current financial position of the company. It drives pain to every individual,” Intel manufacturing Vice President Naga Chandrasekaran wrote to employees Saturday. He said the company is targeting job reductions between 15% and 20%, with most of the cuts taking place in July. Overall, though, the layoffs will surely eliminate several thousand jobs – and quite possibly more than 10,000. Intel eliminated 15,000 jobs across the company in 2024, including 3,000 in Oregon.
Lip is everything the critics wanted to accuse Pat of being.
I guess Intel really enjoys getting dom'd by TSMC...

I have an MSI X570S EDGE MAX WIFI and have run it for about three years, prob 10K hours. The LAN port is a Realtek 2.5Gbe LAN and it started failing about 1K hours ago. Constantly just disconnects and reconnects immediately. All my other systems don't receive events, only this one. All my drivers are up to date including MOBO and I've tried numerous fixes all for naught so I've come to the conclusion its a hardware issue. I'm going to replace it with

Reason I went with the card instead of USB is because of latency. I was actually surprised how few cards are available on the market. I guess MOBOs all having them integrated for the past 15 years or so is the reason.

Don't listen to this retard. This automatic shit always is either super conservative and gives no performance boost or will be unstable and crash. Just test manually on something like super position or steel nomad until you find the max your card can do without crashing, then play actual games and if it crashes you dial it back. Repeat until stable and you have the max performance of your card. It's very simple and easy to do and if you can't manage this you should just leave your card on stock like a cuck.

Watch how this video guide sets a voltage cap in AB's Curve Editor, you want to set a GPU Core offset first to OC and undervolt the GPU (most GPUs can handle +90~120MHz offset, higher requires stability testing).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPpW9yXHvOU
https://github.com/LunarPSD/NvidiaOverclocking/blob/main/Nvidia%20Overclocking.md#undervolting

You want to apply the curve afterward and save the setting to one of the five profiles.
Click on the Windows icon to automatically apply the current profile on Windows bootup, but only after you've confirmed the OC + UV is stable.

I'm on a 3070 right now and i've been thinking of grabbing a 9600xt. Now before you call me a retard and tell me it's barely a performance uplift I feel like going to 16gb of vram vs the 8 i'm on right now will be very liberating and allow me to crank up settings and still get around the same or very slightly better frames. Newegg now doing the trade in means I can get $230 for my 3070 so that would effectively bring down the price of the 9600xt under $200. I know I could probably sell my 3070 for around $300, but $70 doesn't feel like enough to go through the hassle of selling it.

Brain can do:
1 anti-noise
2 anti-reverb
3 anti-echo (rare)
Example, if you move to other flat/room/house you will notice reverb of your voice, but after a week or two your brain will compensate reverb and you will not hear it anymore.

Yes, it's rather dark but I can see the wood structure when looking at it from my chair, the surfaces are not perfectly smooth, not just boring. If I wanted I could brighten up the wood with sandpaper and bleach but I didn't buy this case primarily for looks so I don't care enough to bother. I compared all cases that can house an ALF3 420 AIO and this one provides the best functionality. It's got supreme airflow AND complete dust filtering, it is easily movable thanks to two wheels in the rear and the very sturdy wood bars in top that allow to lift the whole case even when fully equipped. It's even possible to install 4 standard office chair castors in place of the rubber feet to maximize maneuverability.

Yeah, full system crash, and the bluescreen message is completely different every time, so those are even less help than usual. The recent games I've played that consistently crash it that come to mind are Deltarune (but not the demo version for some reason), Shadowman Remastered, Warcraft 3 (pre-Reforged version), Minecraft, and Cobalt Core, they all consistently crash AT SOME POINT, but the point they do is random each time, not when any one specific thing is happening so I dunno.

The 32GB ram set is new, cause I thought it might have theoretically been the issue, it's not the problem.
I've updated the drivers like 500 times, uninstalled, reinstalled, everything's up to date, and it was a problem when I first built it and first installed the drivers for the very first time.
I already tried repasting the CPU, that didn't help either.
Also there's no fucking way I'm downgrading to Win11 until I'm forced to, that's why I got LTSC in the first place.
I'll give the other suggestions a try though.

you need to crunch a lot of numbers for used parts.
first you need to establish a base line with current hardware and their prices, then look for benchmarks from the old hardware, cross-reference all the shit, do price/performance. all this for hardware you no longer have any warranty on
in other words, might as well buy new low-end. unless you only buy a GPU one gen old and the price is indeed worth it and even then it's a risk, dealing with used parts is only worth it if you're reselling parts or selling used pre-builts
