I'm not some diehard EUfag there's a lot of it that was complete fan fiction garbage and the people acting like Disney are "Stealing" EU characters for the new stuff are stupid when there's obvious character archetypes and stories that are going to naturally overlap but stuff like Shadows of the Empire multimedia project was basically Lucasfilm doing beta tests for the Prequel trilogy and how to gear up for a massive media push come the prequels

You also had both Lucas and Iger saying when the Star Wars sale happened that the books, comics, games etc. were massive assets that could be used which Kennedy almost instantly binned completely and then complained 5 years later that she had "no source material to work with"
