It wasn't until I watched both HxH series that I realize how retarded these comparison images are. This is a minor scene that was handled differently in both series. What you don't see are all the positive things the later series did, animated and actually managed to cover the reasonable length of the manga. It's not like the alternative is to watch the original series because it can fucking cancelled. And don't even talk to me about reading the manga with its info overload and chicken scratch.
This applies to all comparisons like this. You guys so fixated on misleading minor things that you miss the bigger picture. There's an image like this for every remake and while remakes are generally bad these pics will make you believe that there is nothing of value in them. Which is funny because you guys that make this shit are likely secondary consumers of some of your favorite franchises anyway.
