I wouldn't hold my breath for a good ending, honestly. The sooner you let go of the hope of there ever being a good ending, the less it'll sting when we learn for real that they will be stuck in the Digital Circus forever. The Pilot could serve as a microcosm of the whole series (quality not withstanding.)
