I think you haven't read the manga. That happens in the "past" you know. Things end up different to how the anime ends, that's why I'm bringing it up in the first place. If you insist his "gou idea" is canon then the manga is the same thing, except it changed to a more believable and in character end. And Tomato took just as much liberties with that idea as Passione.
