I think he just needs to pull back, stop using steroids, stop presenting himself as this guru/father figure to a bunch of lost, normie-adjacent incels who didn't even watch his original videos, and take himself much elss seriously. Old Sam would've been laughing along with Harland mocking him and probably been more easily to come back at him with whatever. Sam was funnier when he was an awkward geek who knew what he was. He was more relatable then, too. My dad is a steroid user and what I'm able to discern is that people use roids to try and silence the critical inner voice and insecurities, but instead they end up being ruled by them and it's plainly obvious to anyone looking in from the outside. It's similar to the Andrew Tate and other PUA guys (who were parodied in by Tom Cruise in Magnolia) who try to conquer their issues with women, but end up being conquered themselves by them instead, where every decision and thought they have is dominated by women's perception of them. I'm kinda going off on a tangent, but I guess Sam found his grift and it's hard to fault him for that, but I can fault him for drinking his own Kool-Aid.
