I liked that this story went so hard to establish the moral lesson that people oughtn't push all of their troubles and sins on to one person as a scapegoat, and immediately after it was revealed that every one of the town's problems was, in fact, caused by one group of conspirators.

The ending is better than Umineko's, but that's not saying much. Higurashi has worse characters, overall plot, music, and is way more boring.
