Not that anon but I was extremely disappointed by the combat content of the expansion and I do consider it unfinished.
Demolishers are cool the first time you fight one but since they are not an active threat you can just ignore them for most of the game. When you go back very late with a railgun they are nothing but a chore.
Gleba's enemies are completely irrelevant if you have artillery. In the base game, artillery is super good, but you still have the drive to go out and expand because your ore patches will run out so you have to fight larger and larger nests. It makes for a nice loop. Gleba, on the other hand, can be completely done with a very high SPM by just staying near the landing area so you really don't need to go far and face the stronger nests. Then, once you cover all the explored area with artillery, which is easy to do since you don't need to explore far, you have effectively sterilized the planet.
Fulgora/Aquilo are literally unfinished and should have had enemy content. If they came up with something unfun then they should have gone back to the drawing board and made something fun.
Lastly, the mining productivity tech in the expansion is so absurd that it hurts Nauvis too and you don't really need to explore far there either. All in all, SA is really unbalanced when compared to the base game and they should have given the combat mechanics more thought. The only saving grace are the asteroids.
