Beautifully put Anon. I forgot to add this on a previous post but Flynn did ruin the rebellious attitude Neo had with Heroes. But I still think it was a very strong display of how insanely above league he is when he is put in charge. Neo felt like an escape from the chains Eggman placed on him in Heroes. So to see it boggle down to sheer loyalty hinders that unique trait Metal Neo had. But I love when the story allows him to be on cloud 9, even if it eventually means he's back into being restrained both in-universe and writing wise
