I think dark elves should be very hot and very haughty. They should also be divided into grey dark elves and brown dark elves.
Grey dark elves have a core of elite guard units but mostly use press ganged regiments of lesser races that are kept in line with brutal discipline.
I'm not sure what gimmick the brown dark elves should have, but rest assured they should exist
