What I'm realising I should have done (with the thing I made to mark in the same spot) is just use a laser pointer to shine light onto my leg and draw the line there. It'd have been easier to make (no hinge necessary) and be faster to use (no adjusting pen position). Even just shining a light at a piece of paper with a slit in it would probably work, and I could just attach an LED to the thing I made.
That could be something you consider, since you could use some sort of box with lines to align with spots on the floor (or distance from the wall), with a torch taped on top facing down at an angle, and some paper slit to narrow the beam (or in the box with a hole cut in the side)
It is looking like my skin does just move around a bit, maybe from getting dehydrated while I sleep since I always wake up thirsty and drink about 4L of water during the day so am fairly hydrated, but I'm not sure since it could partly be from the effects of the treatment not wearing off. I'll start again in a couple days (mostly because I've been really tired and didn't want it messing up my sleep) and probably also track the shifting of the skin as well because it may be relevant if tightening in some places correlates with bulging in others
>I don't know what to do right now
I was thinking you should try a different derma roller - rounder and shorter needle (1.0 - 1.4mm) - because it seemed that (in the couple days of testing) there wasn't a difference in using only hand sanitiser vs only moisturiser for how much of a difference it caused. So it seems the the biggest difference may be that.
Although it could be the saw palmetto is different. Does yours turn solid (a paste) when you put it in the fridge/cold? I thought last time this happened it was contamination, but the new batch I got turns solid as well (I have to put the bottle between my thighs to melt it before applying). I assume this is because of the purity since water or alcohol shouldn't turn solid at that temp
