I remember the Mania and Forces hype around here. Mania looked fun as hell and Forces was looking to be a nice follow up to Generations. And around that time Archie put out their Mega Drive Miniseries that was very well received. Sonic was back, baby!
And then Archie dropped the Sonic license and cancelled the completed third issue.
Mania came out, was fun as hell, but reused too many Zones (I would be more accepting of it if they had picked from the 8-bit titles too).
And then Forces came out a few months after and was just a complete and utter embarrassment
