Only played two demos but I just kept replaying them. Will look at some demos in this thread.
>Rogue Point
The first original game from the Black Mesa devs. It's a tactical shooter like SWAT mixed with rouge lite elements in the levels. You play a campaign, have to spend in-game money to create a loadout, and then do the mission. Doing things in the missions (killing in certain ways, healing, finding items, etc.) give you cash for use in future missions in the campaign. If you wipe twice the campaign is over and you have to restart from the beginning.
It's biggest issue is that it doesn't know if it wants to be a slower tactical title or an arcade shooter with tactical game elements. You're encouraged to use non-lethal takedowns for extra cash, but you don't have access to them at all outside of a CS:GO weapon lottery system ($1,000 of the in-game cash for a spin) and every mission is timed so you need to the objective done fast. The AI is also really rigid so even if you unlock the stealth items, you're ending up just swarmed because they hear everything no matter what (I genuinely think they're either broken or stealth isn't a thing).
It's rough but fun enough. I hope that they'll nail down what they want to do and fix the shit AI, but I'm not buying on launch.
>Project Turboblast
Picked it up today and played about 30 minutes of it. Definitely fun and easy to get into, just another F-Zero like high speed racer. I kept bumping into the side of the track on the second track, Vines is my favorite so far. My only issue with it is that the boost spam is intended and it hurts you hand after a bit. It's actually why I put it down. I'll buy it when it goes on sale after launch but only if they do more singleplayer stuff and make it so I don't have to hurt my thumb to get 1st.
