You misunderstand. No shipper with a working brain should go into a mobage expecting "canon" anything - that's just the rule. But the ideal is to be the most pandered to (ie. the most important relationship between the characters, constant relevance) so that you always have food to sustain yourself over the years of live service. HSR's pump and nature with its cast and relationships means that it is VERY bad at this, but the fandom is so full of cucks who are ok with the bare minimum that they're fine with it. I think it's really pathetic.
