3.4 felt even way more railroaded because you didn't get a big map or dungeon to explore. What you did get was the game finally cutting out the fat and speaking clearly for once instead of playing keep away with all forms of answers.
At the end of the day, 3.4 was purely Hallway simulator as March, MC, and Phainon walking down a hallway, saw a cutscene, had a scripted fight with your win, rinse and repeat. The aesthetics of it reverting from fantasy to sci-fi and the animated cutscene really helped.
