Ive got a Datsun L28 I'm building, stock cam for now, and I already have this set of long tube headers from MSA. They're set up as two sets of three that merge into a single Y. I had seen videos of people experimenting with true dual setups on four cylinder engines, and it dramatically changes the sound, and I wonder what it would do to a straight six. I wouldn't do completely separate pipes though, I was thinking about an H pipe in the middle and a resonator and muffler for each pipe. I haven't seen this exact setup anywhere and am wondering why? How bad do you think it would affect scavenging? Do you think it could sound interesting or sound like garbage? I'm tempted to just tac weld some pipe together just to find out. The reason I'm interested in this idea at all is because when I installed my headers, my ground on my welder failed, so I impatiently drove the car to a friends shop to have the down pipe made, and having the two exits dump right at my feet sounded insane. I've always wanted to replicate it in a proper way.
