First game is the best piece of modern Spider-Man media since Raimi's movies, it took all the shit I didn't like about BND era Spider-Man and made it actually work
then they decided to go the Bendis/Camp route of 'WAOW WHAT IF WE PUT MILES IN THE GAME HE'S SO FUCKING COOL DUDE HIS COSTUME IS BETTER THAN MILES HE GETS THE ZIPPY ZAP POWERS AND CAN GO INVISIBLE!!!! HE SHOULD BE SPIDER-MAN!!!!! SUPPORTING CAST? ACTUALLY INTERESTING PERSONALITY? WHO NEEDS THOSE?' along with doubling down on civilian gameplay and it was all over
I still have some sort of hope in my heart that whoever did the writing for the first game will be in creative control again and they've learned from the mistakes of the other two sequels but considering it looks like they want to cram in Silk as a playable character too I'm not very confident
